Gratitude.

Yesterday was Dave’s ordination ceremony. I am overwhelmed with the friends and family who showed up to celebrate what God is doing.

Thank you for your kind words. Words of wisdom, conviction, and truth. Thank you for your music. Your photos. Your artwork. Thank you for your hand-squeezes and warm smiles. Thank you for your hugs and watery eyes. Thank you for your prayer. Thank you for years of encouragement. Thank you for the gift of your time. Coffee dates. Dinner meetings. Opening your homes to us for bible study, game nights, barbeques, dinners, lunches, breakfasts, pancakes and prayer. Early morning worship at the cove. Sunday school classes. Thank you for sitting in the pews beside us. Thank you for studying with us. Teaching us. Working with us. Thank you for summers at SunHouse. Beach days. Pool parties. Retreats. Summer camps. Family vacations. Holiday dinners. Weddings. Graduations. Showers. Birthday parties. Thank you for trusting your children to us whether they were two weeks or two decades. Thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you. Thank you for walking alongside us. Thank you for your friendships. Laughter and pain. Love and support.

Thank you for letting us share life with you.

Hailey, you and Dave are awesome! I wish I could have been there to celebrate you both. I’m sending you hugs and safety wishes from the docks of Bergen. May God bless your travels and your time in Malawi.
